Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 01, 2009 8:21 pm I thought there was an old topic on this, but I have been unable to find it. I am tossing up which brick colours to choose. I love lighter sandy bricks, but I am very tentative about making the house look too daggy. The top of my list is Boral Tunami. Possibly with a very dark grey roof. If anyone is wondering what look I am looking for, it is similar to the PD Manchester on Display in Point Cook, as in the PD website. Re: Show me your bricks! I am building with Clarendon and we have a serious brick problem, the bricks are bowed beyond tolerance and there are high level of chipped bricks. We have been offerred rendering as well and otehr alternatives as the brickwork is compelted. Another perosn in Melbourne has asked used the same bricks and his hosue ended up have to be rendered. Clarendon has stopped using BORAL from May 09. Their bricks are of poor quality. This is confirmed by bricklayers. Masterbuilders do not offer BORAL in the selection. Stay away from BORAL roof tiles if you can. They are coarse and poorly finished. Also BORAL bricks react very betetr with the acid cleaning. My neighbours brickwork turned green.
