Hi everyone
Have spent most of today reading the blogs about building the grandview - was so great to see so many pictures. I will definitely keep you updated through our process. We have gone straight to contract and should have it back in around 1.5 weeks. We are building out at River Retreat in Karalee QLD, on an acre block it is beautiful and flat with the soiled classified as M - but after reading some horror stories of site costs in excess of $30k I am really starting to stress. Just wondering what people's experiences were and these very high site costs were they on very steep land or what???
We have chosen the Grandview 36 and have our Beaumont tile appt on Sunday so we're really looking forward to that - we've been and sussed it all beforehand and the floor tile we have picked is 160mm x 160mm any idea on how much they charge you for going over the standard by 10mm. But we love it so will just have to wear costs - just curious to see what it would be.
Also had a walk through Studio M on Saturday that was great fun and again have most of our colours sussed, haven't heard from the rep yet to book an actual appt but the young girl there on the weekennd was very helpful and again we're pretty much organised so fingers crossed. We actually got a fantastic promotion the momentum with a free $1000 to spend at studio m so hopefully the costs there won't be much at all.
The scary thing will be the electrical appt, we will leave the standard batton lights and just pay an electricial later I think but powerpoints will be the issue - what do they charge for adding powerpoints?
Anyway am very keen to hear people's advice thoughts in particular any feedback on site costs - again very very very stressed about that. Our SC has been fantastic so far no negatives so hopefully that'll stay throughout the process. Fingers crossed anyway.
Nic
