I think we got one because our siteworks went up, and they wanted to show us the breakdown! You might be getting one shortly LB?? Mind you, maybe my borther counteracts the girl thing, even though I'm always the one asking/answering questions the breakdown seems mostly reasonable ( and similar to jpegs) - we were expecting it to go up due to needing an extra retaining wall and some additional fill. The thing that's concerning me is the stormwater (soakwells) cost of $5915. That seems kind of high to me, I notice jpegs was about half that. Maybe it's because of all the walls and the higher blocks behind me? Maybe my block would be a total swamp without it? I do know that there is a sort of drainage canal/green area at the end of the road, so maybe we're in the run-off path or something? ugh. I guess aircon and a backyard will be waiting a little longer than planned... Lynne, one thing my sales guy did tell me was that siteworks are costed by a third party. He discussed the option of trying a different third party, but did say that it would increase time and cost extra, and probably not decrease costs, and so they'd rather not do that. OMG Kash! $6800 is a lot of money. I feel sicknow...if they add that on to my $20,000 I am stuffed! I am glad they sent you an itemised account though. I am waiting for mine Gee can I ask how much your provisional costs were to begin with? Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro! Which is apparently typical for canning vale (Nicci and AJ are right near me, maybe they can confirm this) and the sales guy claims he's never had a canning vale one go over the provisional before. I guess my block is just special Re: WA, Bertram - Aussie Alfresco - HBC 47Aug 11, 2009 2:02 pm Oh Kash my block is oh so special too I am absolutely terrified if mine goes over, that's it I will be selling before moving in. I did some research when my slab was put down at the end of May and it rained almost everyday. I was worried but apparently you want lots of rain in the first 7 days and rain for at least another 21. 28 days is maximum strength for a concrete slab. I think they hide the slab under black plastic for 3 daysnafter it has been poured to make sure it doesn't dry too quickly and crack. *Built with Gemmill Homes in WA* Slab - 1st June 2009 Plate Height - 17th June 2009 Lock Up - 18th August 2009 PCI - 5th October 2009 Hand Over - 15th Oct 2009 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20844 Re: WA, Bertram - Aussie Alfresco - HBC - Plate High (12/8) 57Aug 13, 2009 11:13 am Thanks Annie!
