We started mid May, so they tell us we are looking to handover around 25th September.
This must be so fast due to single storey house. Double storey rarely takes less than 6 months from what I know.

Re: How long does it take to build a new home? 42Jun 12, 2007 3:33 pm yvette72 we are in qld we are building with perry homes we gave them there deposit to start soil etc in early dec 3 months to do this and then other 900 for plans in late april 9 weeks for this and then last week 700 for afflent report and now we are waiting for the contract two weeks already then we have to wait another 2 to 4weeks for the bank to release the deposit. So far we have been waiting 6 months and our plans are not into council yet.they donot tell you about this wait time Yvette, that is just slack. There is NO WAY a soil test should take 3 months. Thats just wrong Our Adenbrook home was completed in September. Have you check their record, say how many houses have they built, how long have them been in the business, talk to some people who already built with them...etc. Also if you just allow them to control everything like that without proper communication, it would be hard to imagine how are you going to settle any problem/arguments/disputes in the future! This is not right, you should challenge them on these unacceptable delays. Ask for explaination in writing! Ask the bank to help as well as it's also in their interest. Get second opinion, find another builder if possible, I am sure many other builders/project home builders would be able to provide better service. Hope this helps. Cheers Allan http://building-our-first-house.blogspot.com/ Sorry but you have a crap builder. Probably too late now. For our last build I only spoke to builders who would allow me easy access (at no cost). I used my own sparky… 10 9838 Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20432 Can anyone recommend a good/affordable retaining wall and fence builder that I can get a quote from located in Sydney? 8 45838 |
