Re: Anyone use the Metalite from Laminex?? 2Sep 05, 2010 10:36 pm Hi rhi, we went & checked out the metaline samples at laminex in OP 2 weekends ago as our selected tile was discontinued & found there really isn't a huge choice of colours to choose from. Also for us we would have had to have at least 2 joins in our splash back as they come in certain lengths & ours was too wide to have just the 1 entire sheet. Sales lady said it's a great alternative to glass & has selected cabinet makers that they have install them. Another tip she gave us (if we were to go ahead) was to get the edges wrapped so as not to see the raw edges that show the layers of material. I know of a cabinet maker in Balcatta that does splash backs in metaline if you want to get a quote, if you want me to PM you the details. Also you can go onto www.laminex.com.au & have samples sent out to you (next day delivery!!) I did this to get an idea of the material & found they scratch very easliy when i ran my fingernail across it....so it was a big NO for me.
