I'm still happy with who I went with but damn I like the Monaco Re: Carlisle Homes - Happy Happy Joy Joy 83Sep 18, 2009 8:31 pm Hi All to "The Family of Carlisle Homes Builders", We can't tell you how fast 12 months can go when you move into a new house "Bordeaux 40". We can't say that it has all been smooth sailing, anyone who has built a new home would know that we were ****** if we said that it was. We have definitely had our ups and downs. We are one of the lucky ones who happen to have had our prayers answered when Matt Walker offered to help. We had a group meeting at our home with the GM, Construction Manager and Warranty Manager to see what can be done to finally resolve all our issues. Not all our issues were warranty concerns, alot of the issues should really have been picked up throughout the construction phase. We are very happy now that CARLISLE have come to the party and have agreed to fix all our issues, and to finally be able tell people that CARLISLE HOMES built our house and aren't we very proud to say it. We are excited with the plan of attack that Carlisle Homes are about to commence to rectify all issues. We will keep you all posted, Cheers. PS Keep your chin up, building your first home is an emotional rollercoaster, just like having your first baby. Like you we are also building a Bordeaux 40. I am an occasional reader and an even more occasional poster :s I notice you too are an occasional poster So my updates are few and far between. What sort of problems did you have? Or is there a post somewhere I can read? To the rest of the posters and readers... So while I am here... Our build has been progressing very well so far - damn they work fast! Really impressed with the work and my supervisor has been quite good too. Some issues were picked up during last stage by Kevin but have been fixed or at least acknowledged. Bricks are going up right now and to be finished end of this week - build started in August. Pretty quick it seems! I realise it will seem slow after lockup. I dont have a blog or the like to share - sorry. Time is a limited with kids and work running my life Regards, Cranium To build or not to build Re: Carlisle Homes - *newsflash* - building in the north again! 86Sep 25, 2009 12:44 pm hi guys, I'm new to this forum though been reading posts silently for quite some time now. Re: Carlisle Homes - *newsflash* - building in the north again! 90Oct 02, 2009 12:18 pm Honestly...you could not ask for any more out of a CLE (If it is the right Emma). There was 2 for us. Emma 1 was awesome...fast, efficient, concise and a apleaseure to deal with. Emma 2 .... hmm .... best to read my blog for that Welcome too Carlisle use to sneak a water resistant "Performance Solution" into their contracts. Have you checked your contract for same? 4 10207 May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner? I'm actually meeting with one of the sales guys tomorrow for an appointment. Definitely not signing anything yet… 3 13248 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37142 |
