(he is good like that) I have had a couple of issues brought to my attention over the last few weeks that I have passed on and all have been addressed promptly and to the clients satisfaction. Sometimes it is easier to deal with the 'boss' Hi Matt, Thanks a lot for your help in this matter. Yes you are right sometimes its better to directly deal with the boss...!! Hope to hear some positive response from his side. I have sent you some more details regarding this issue via pm. Really appreciate your help and efforts with this. Cheers Re: Carlisle Homes 66Aug 16, 2009 1:37 pm mattwalker Welcome to the Carlisle Homes family! I think you will find the standard inclusions are great value for money and the overall packages good too. Feel free to ask lots of questions .... us 'carlislers' are a growing bunch Cheers, Matt Hi guys, I am new to this forum not to mention the whole builiding process - its a bit mind blowing! We are also looking to build the Riverton 27 with Carlisle (have given deposit and are about to go and pick colours and all)... Its good to hear that most people are having good experience with them as it is a bit daunting when you hear so many bad stories about people building their first homes! So it's great to know I have some where to come and ask questoins if I need to! Actually I do have one question.... Zerosignal, did you make any changes to the Riverton Floor Plan? (ie the laundry/bedroom 3 wardrobe?) We found the laundry to be a little small... just wanted to get your thoughts as you are building the same house? Zerosignal, did you make any changes to the Riverton Floor Plan? (ie the laundry/bedroom 3 wardrobe?) We found the laundry to be a little small... just wanted to get your thoughts as you are building the same house? Thanks Firstly welcome! Initially we were going remove half the robe and turn the other half into a broom closet inside the laundry to give us some more room inside it, we ended up deciding against that because that would limit the storage space in Bedroom 3. Instead we going to go with a front load washing machine and stack a front load dryer on top of it and we are currently considering having overhead cabinets installed above the base cabinet for storage for washing liquids etc. We are going to store the ironing board and brooms etc in the garage. Initially we were going remove half the robe and turn the other half into a broom closet inside the laundry to give us some more room inside it, we ended up deciding against that because that would limit the storage space in Bedroom 3. We considered that option too, but have instead decided to move the wardrobe in bedroom 3 so that either it takes some space out of the activity room or, we are looking to leave out the robe and build one into bedroom 3 ourselves at a later date. We aren't 100% yet, but that is the only part of the house that I wasn't 100% with. Everything else about the Riverton is excellent. We especially liked the fact that there is no wasted space (ie formal lounge and dining rooms, as we would never use these) and most houses we looked at around the 30sq mark seemed to have this! Had our tender today it went well, just have one unresolved question regarding our smart wiring for the house which will be easy to figure out just need to ask a few questions of the developer and we will be done. Hi S&P, The issue with the kitchen is exactly how i have mentioned in my earlier posts. Good luck with your maintenance... Cheers Hi Ria, How did you go with the meeting? Hi Matt, Meeting with the GM was good. He did took time out listening to our frustration and issues we had and he also agreed that this issue was aroused due to lack of information and details provided by them with their promotional offers. When you go for any upgrades, they do mention exactly what the upgrade includes in detail. But in promotional offer they dont go in detail, which caused the whole issue. We have came to a common agreement as we wanted to settle and move into the house as soon as possible. I would definitely mention that they did help in settling the house in the time frame which we wanted. But i am still waiting for them to complete the list of items mentioned in the letter of undertaking, which we picked up before settlement and they said they will finish them in 14 days from settlement. Also, we are waiting for them to finish implementing the solution which they agreed upon for the kitchen issue. Will update how we go for next week and how things are getting done or any delays????? So far the journey with them has been good. Cheers. Re: Carlisle Homes 72Sep 08, 2009 9:40 pm Hi guys just finished my tender on monday and rock removal was $1000. Think that is a good price. My next question is that i am not happy with my CLE. she double booked us for our signing. she never reply my emails. she initially put me down for atlantique 32 mkII instead of what i clearly confirmed with the sale rep atlantique 36 mkII. Anyone can help me with how to change my CLE? thanks a bunch guys! Re: Carlisle Homes 73Sep 10, 2009 9:16 pm I should be able to ask the owner to get this done for you... I wil ask John if this is possible and if so what detals he will need Cheers, Matt Re: Carlisle Homes 74Sep 10, 2009 10:31 pm You are lucky you have a CLE! Re: Carlisle Homes 78Sep 10, 2009 10:46 pm Cool. Not in Alamanda? Have you started building yet? Is your land titled? Have you been allocated a new CLE yet? We have been speaking to Di a bit in the meantime with a few issues. She seems fantastic compared to the previous CLE (wants to help, replies to emails and phone calls quickly, actually seems happy with her job). Hopefully we get her permanently Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! They have to give the person a go. If everyone dealing with that one CLE made the same complaint we would obviously do something. What would happen if they didn’t like the second person? Tell them that if the issues persist to send an email to either: mattd@carlislehomes.com.au for EAST or joes@carlislehomes.com.au for WEST The office is in the midst of the busiest month ever for Carlisle. A few mistakes will be made. You have to remember every First Home Buyer wants to sign a contract before the end of the month. Hope that helps, Cheers, Matt Re: Carlisle Homes 80Sep 16, 2009 11:45 am Just to note. We went through our contract appointment with one minor error (Missing a 2way switch) on our electrical drawings - which have been fixed up no problem. Mistakes can happen but everyone we have delt with at Carlisle Homes have been great. Carlisle use to sneak a water resistant "Performance Solution" into their contracts. Have you checked your contract for same? 4 10160 May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner? I'm actually meeting with one of the sales guys tomorrow for an appointment. Definitely not signing anything yet… 3 13248 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37142 |
