Today I put my deposit down for Atlantique 36! i met with gina down at tarneit! she was excellent! thanks for all ur advise! hope to be able to look for u guys for more answers in the coming future! thank you!!
i didnt make much variations cos $$$! but the ones i did make were
1. added door to rumpus
2. the area between lounge and theatre changed from carpet to tile.
3. oh yea took up the carpet tile promo! (however i notice that NBG have a similar promo!!) abit upset about that.
4. change from batten lights to down lights.
i would like to ask if anyone did the same as me (changing all to downlights?)
5. moved the tv point from master to theatre
6. can i ask if anyone know where the Telephone point is? i forgot to ask Gina about this and couldnt find it on the plans. Can anyone point them out to me? thank you!
thanks guys!
Hi all!
How informative is this forum! It's great..
Anyways, my partner and I are due to sign our building contracts with Carlisle in 2 weeks. We are going with the Atlantique MK2 36 building in Botanic Ridge. So hopefully I can help you out a little Zero.
4. change from batten lights to down lights.
We did change alot of batten lights to down lights. However, I dont believe changing 1 Battan light for 1 Down light would give off enough light. So within our electrical plan we needed to add additional custom downlight points. More expensive but if you want to go with the look of downlights I think you might need more of them. With Carlisle I believe its an extra $97.00 for a custom one done.
can i ask if anyone know where the Telephone point is? i forgot to ask Gina about this and couldnt find it on the plans. Can anyone point them out to me? thank you!
With Carlisle ( I'm hoping this is all the same with you ) you get a standard 3 Telephone points throughout the house which you can decide where it goes. Best to double check these things, but that's how it went for us.
Let me know if you have any further questions, happy to attempt to answer them
ANOTHER Atlantique!!!
Pretty certain the telephone points arent standard..
Downlights will be much cheaper if you do it after handover.. Even our sales consultant was trying to help us save $$ and advised us to leave downlights until posthandover.
Good luck with your build!! What changes/upgrades are you making?
BTW when we put our deposit in for the Atlantique 36, base price was $196,900 .. but that was May 2008-ish.
