I was told that I cannot use that money toward the build as that will make me ineligible for the grant. the only way i could untilise the money was to use it toward the land. that qn in my previous post was taken from the FHOG application see below Part A – Disqualifying Arrangements 1. Is there a related person, who is ineligible to receive the grant, who has provided or will provide financial help to an applicant directly or indirectly to buy, build, own or maintain the home? . Hi Mellybuilding, I will be applying the FHOG in Victoria. In the Victoria FHOG application, I cannot find that disqualifying arrangements. In the Victorian FHOG requirement, I am not aware that there is such disqualifying arrangement. Does that only apply in QLD? But I thought the requirement for FHOG should be the same accross Australia as it is federal government thing. Can someone shed some light? Stephen hhmmmm maybe they are different in diff states?? I had wondered the same thing when i read the FHOG docs i was given. I had called the bank prior to me signing any of the docs just in case. I advised the lady that i had been given a gift. she advised as long as it is used for land only then no problem. If, however used for construction portion. I will not be eligible.
