I have found the source of concentrated pure evil - my local council BRRrrr
We got our Planning permit - 7 months
We got our Building permit
We got our Septic permit
Now they have dreamed up another permit. This one it an asset protection permit. Basically we have to pay them $150 to come and inspect the crossover, pavement and road boundary and then on completion of works, they will reinspect to see if damage occured. They also take a $200 deposit and will charge any additional to us as well.
Seems reasonable, but why was it not included in the planning permit (which we paid $450 for) or the building permit? They have already visited the site a number of times, why not combine the function.
Why wait until after we have the building permit and then require this permit which in not indicated on any of the documentation we recieved? Why make us now wait until they inspect and then for absolutely no reason make us wait 7 days after the permit has been issued before costruction can commence?
PATHETIC!!!
/end rant/
