I thought I saw somewhere that the thicker 13mm plasterboard sheets are required where the stud spacing is greater than 450mm.
Does anyone know if this is this right or was I dreaming. (I'm not sure these days).

Only if your ceiling battens are greater than 450 centers do you need to use 13mm plaster or non standard 10mm plaster.
