Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Bevnol Homes 2Oct 20, 2009 8:22 am I had a house built by this company. They started in November 2008 and the house has still not been completed as yet (October 2009). Externally it was 3 months overdue and internally the floor tiles are loose and have not been replaced yet. I contacted the company 2 months ago (August 2009) and they have not been replaced as yet. the company tried to offer me two different tiles that did not match as replacements. The company has not answered my emails, phone calls or provided me with prompt responses. STEER CLEAR of this company if you are considering building a house. I am currently taking them to VCAT. Re: Bevnol Homes 3Oct 20, 2009 10:56 am After reading the last review I am not sure you want to proceed, but there are 2 houses currently being constructed in my estate in South Morang, it may be worth taking a drive out to have a look at them if your in Melb. I must admit I had never heard of them until I saw their name go up on the sites and I checked them out on the internet, look like good designs and floor plans. We bought house and land package not realising it would take so long to building from first signing for the package in Nov 2008!!! We are finally up lockup stage so now it will take at least another 6-8 weeks for the fixtures and fittings to complete. I have found them to be slow in answering queries at times but on the whole they haven't been too bad. One thing to be careful with is if you like the design on the brochure find out the EXTRA cost for the 'facades', what you see isn't what you'll get unless you realise you have to pay that extra for the contemporary facades. I felt deceived by the land sales person who never ever mentioned that the facade was Extra!!!! So I've had to make variations which cost money as well as the cost of the facade (ie portico and windows and any rendering to the front etc). Was really annoyed about that. I have heard recently that there was a decent size problem with one of the houses built in the same area as mine and it took awhile to rectify after the final building inspection was done. I will post back once our house is completed and let you know how I rate Bevnol then! Re: Bevnol Homes 5Jan 24, 2010 2:30 pm Hi Beboo - well I feel sorry for you having to go through all that drama - that is so disappointing, frustrating and time-consuming to say the least - I hope by the time you read this (if you do) that your problems have been rectified. I think it's disgraceful to leave you waiting like that. I wouldn't recommend them again to anyone. I wonder if you have built in Melton? Is the property an investment or to live in? Good luck with everything. Re: Bevnol Homes 6Jan 30, 2010 7:56 am hey i'm not sure what to say about the above homes, but i built with bevnol last, building a sharz with quite a few changes. i found their prices quite good and the staff more then helpfull. i have built with other builders and found them all no where near as helpfull or as CHEAP. sorry to hear about you homes but i have nothing but great things to report. Re: Bevnol Homes 7Aug 10, 2011 7:51 am We just built with Bevnol Homes and they were fantastic. We were very happy with the whole process and would definately build with them again. We built the Shiraz and we just love everything about it. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74717 I would never build with Fowler homes.
