I cannot believe that only 6 weeks after finishing building, you're planning on doing it all again! Aarrrrgggggghhhhh! Had a look at your thread, your house is lovely! I'm sure your next one will be too Re: Colorbond Roof - Monument - What Colour Gutters and Facias? 22Jul 22, 2009 4:10 pm Hey Loretta, the funny thing is that Phil's probably more bothered about some of the choices than me! I remember it being much easier choosing the paint for my apartment. . . I didn't have anyone to argue with, I got exactly what I wanted!!! Re: Colorbond Roof - Monument - What Colour Gutters and Facias? 23Jul 22, 2009 4:11 pm hello, we decided on a monument roof as well, what we ended up doing was monument gutters and facia as well so its all the same and i think it looks great our house is rendered in mud pack. with the black window and door screens. there are pics in our thread. coral hamilton 278- big things are happening Al & Caitie- Building the Hamilton 278 (Coral) at Narangba Re: Colorbond Roof - Monument - What Colour Gutters and Facias? 24Jul 22, 2009 4:15 pm Hi fairyblue! You'll be alright, up the ladder with your wood treatment. I love all the red cedar bits, they must have cost a FORTUNE! I'm afraid it's just normal white gyprock ceilings for us. We haven't decided what colour to have the garage doors yet, as they're around the side I don't suppose it will matter TOO much. OMG! We LOVE the colorbond home visualizer! We were playing with it last night. . . it's narrowed down our choice a bit at least, we've decided that the monument roof with a dark colour wall (we're texture painting) and white architrave type things on the white window frames will make it look a tad too gothic! Actually, looking at this, the surfmist looks a bit more grey than cream, we'll have to check out a proper sample of it. Re: Colorbond Roof - Monument - What Colour Gutters and Facias? 25Jul 22, 2009 4:24 pm Hello alk! WOW! I cannot believe your house has only taken 10 weeks and it's nearly done!!!!!!!! That's amazing! I think we're going to go for the coffered/bulkhead ceiling things in the foyer too! (Actually, I think I saw your picture of it a couple of days ago. . . I love it!) I like your roofline. . . the front bit where the roof goes straight up to the right (technical terms, you know) looks excellent! And of course, the monument roof . . . ahhhhhhhhh . . . . mmmmmmmm. . . . love it! Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10229 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18582 Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 2893 |
