Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 18, 2009 11:36 pm Hi, Im building my first house in The Vines, Wa, with Affordable Living. I just went to inspect the next construction stage and thought it odd that the ceilings and cornices have been installed but the plaster for the walls haven't been. Should the plaster for the ceilings and walls be done first, and then the conices attached? If anyone can help answer my question, it would be a great help!! I'm a bit worried and I can't get a hold of my client liason until Monday. Re: ceilings and cornices..plz help!! 2Jul 19, 2009 8:57 am Wow i have never herd of that. Oh .. the windows were done between the ceiling and the cornices. I didn't realise there would be such a huge gap between the ceiling board and the walls. The cornices covered up the gap, but I thought the ceiling board would be much closer to the wall. Built the Driftwood with C*ollier Homes Moved in 8 November 2009 Slowly getting organised .....
