Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 17, 2009 6:52 am Hi there everyone, Below is a drawing! of our study space (2550 x 4250) open spaces are windows on the bottom wall, which is the front of our house and office entry on the right wall. We have no idea how to layout this space. We would like someday to have ample cupboard space, maybe built in cupboards. There will be one, maybe two computer spaces needed. Not sure where to have data points, phone point etc. __________________ I I I I I____ _ ____I Any help would be greatly appeciated. I suppose it all depends on whether you like to sit at a desk facing the door, the wall or the window. I would decide this first and work from there. It seems easier to place your desk against a wall as the cabling etc would be neater if it were behind a desk against a wall. Personally I would put the desks along a wall because I don't like them being against a window because your equipment has the potential for weather damage from rain or sun (depending on which way your block faces). So having said that, you could put a half wall of cupboards along the left wall, then follow it around with a large corner desk big enough for two if needed, then continue along the top wall with more cupboards if needed.
