Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 16, 2009 12:29 pm We are keen to get some fencing up on our block as soon as its settled. Its acreage and the fence will just post and dog wire, so nothing fancy. The thing is, the lots have just finished being developed and the adjoining ones to ours havent sold yet, so technically their still owned by the developer. We are planning on just putting the fence up and paying all of it ourselves. But just wondering, what if someone buys one of the lots and wants to change the fence that we have just put in? Can they still ask us to pay half even though a brand new suitable fence is already there? Also, could we approach the developer (seeing they own the adjacent land) and ask them to contribute to the cost?
