Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 12, 2009 7:38 pm Yet another silly question from me! And thanks in advance for anyone that can help! We were out at our place today. To find a back fence (we back onto some new display homes being built) and what seems to be an inspection point/pit for a easement. Only issue being.... we don't have a easement on our block. They display home is meant to have it! So just wondering should the inspection point/pit be directly above the easement???? And if that is the case.... could the easement be actually on our block and wrong. Our land contract shows that we have no easement on our block. What should i do???? Here is a photo so you can understand what i'm saying.... hope it helps! Eg why they have put this on your land. Do you have a land title? That's the place to check for listed easements rather than the land contract. I've been told that in the case of new developments it is entirely possible for the land title to show no easement, but for one to go in later. If your block is sloping back toward this, perhaps it is also a provision for you to plug into in the future.
