In this thread I have been discussing my difficulties planning a bathroom in a small space. One way to recover a lot of space is to have the main bedroom opening directly onto our open plan living area. Our builder has said that is a "no-no" and I can understand why.
My thoughts are that it could be quite attractive if we were to have double internal sliders that opened into our bedroom from the living area. I have imagined these doors similar to plantation shutters but with faux louvres for soundproofing and privacy.
WDYT? Am I best to stick with a compact bathroom and hallway to access the main bedroom or open everything up?
