Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 09, 2009 3:56 pm Hi all, We are looking at building with Carlisle Homes. One question I have is with regards to their after build support. I have heard not so good stories in relation to other bigger volume builders but have heard next to nothing with regards to CH (positive or negative). Is anyone in a position to share some with us? Appreciate any comments. Thanks. Regards, Cranium To build or not to build Re: Carlisle Homes - After build support 2Jul 09, 2009 7:46 pm After build support with Carlisle aye.. where can I start?? They are FANTASTIC!! They are still in contact with you after the handover, and they do care. Our front door wasnt closing properly, so I called the maintenance department. M is one of the girls there taking calls etc, she was very helpful. We had someone come out to our house to fix the door 2 days later!! I mean, I wasnt expecting it to be that soon.. they really are great!! And we had our 3 month maintenance inspection today. The guy from Carlisle is professional and friendly, good sense of humour too!! We didnt note many defects, all minor like plaster hairline cracks. Were expecting people coming to fix the items within 2 to 3 weeks. But the case might be different to different people, weve found posthandover to be really smooth and stressfree - thanks Carlisle!! Yes likely different experiences for different people as always. Lets see what others say. Did you by any chance hire a private building inspector? If so, can you recommend this person?
