We are also renovating, so I will be following your progress with interest. By the look of it, yours is definitely major!!!! We did a big one like that on our last house, but this one is more cosmetic with very little structural changes, thank God. Sounds like you have already had more dramas than you needed, hope it all goes a little more smoothly from now on. Good luck!!! Thanks Michelle. I would have liked to keep more features than I had left (ie bay window) but all we had were the beautiful ceiling roses and they had to go as we couldn't keep the same ceiling heights (council height restrictions ) this is pretty much the only original feature http://i655.photobucket.com/albums/uu272/seeking_solutions/reno/IM000275-1.jpg but we did try to replicate in on the floor above: http://i655.photobucket.com/albums/uu272/seeking_solutions/reno/frontelevation.jpg We decided against a new house as the existing was already with one wall on a boundary and demolishing it would have made this house the same as a semi... Will they be visible from your master bedroom? I don't think so, I do not even know what we will see at the end of the day as some of the trees around us will have more leafage in summer Thanks for taking an interest - wasn't sure if this was a wasteful exercise - I have not done any blogging to date I am currently in the process of trying to find (affordable) bathroomware & taps... progress viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20401 sculptures viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26607 pole trouble viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25988 Re: Major reno in the 'burbs - roof, gutters, windows- lock up 15Aug 21, 2009 3:21 pm What difference can a few weeks make with the great weather Sydney has had!
