I drove around the Maples area - lots of building activity. Lovely view from the top of the hill. You have picked a nice spot in the estate. Bring on the concrete... Thanks. I think I have seen that street... my SIL is building in Yangoora Wells and she is somewhere off there, but we are in the older part near Yan Yean Rd. After a couple of wet weather delays, the concretors finally got a run on site and poured the slab. It wasn't looking good on the morning of the pour, but the early morning rain dissapeared and held off for the day. I also got a bobcat and truck in to take away the excess soil. I still have to get power on, and we are still waiting for the fencer (the developer is yet to re-establish the survey pegs after removing them after my set out for their feature piers). Trusses are ready for delivery and I have ordered the timber for the frame. The carpenters are due Monday 3rd August. The advantage was that it started a week or two after settlement so it started as early as it could. Good luck with your build, I can't wait until a few more houses pop up in the area. Who are you building with ? I am guessing there will be plenty of kids in the area. I have a 7 year old son, a 2 year old daughter and one on the way. THe Maples is a top spot for the kids, and I know my son can't wait to test his lap times around the Barrett Place loop on his bike ! And as we are going to be neighbours, if you need any help with anything with the build, let me know.
