Our blog is in my signature. No bel, I don't have a thread yet. I thought I might start one once the sewer pegout is done. Should be in a week or two, I hope. We are building in Oyster Bay with Masterton. When we first bought the house we were hoping for a knock down rebuild but we have since been told by Masterton that they no longer do that. The knock down part is up to us, they build the house and the house only. All that is fine if only they told you in the begining. Instead we have been finding out all the gory details as we go along. To say its been a learning curve is an understatement. But after reading some of the post on here we can see we are not on our own and what we have been going through seems to be all part of building a house. When you talk to them, they say in essence "you knock down, we rebuild". Have you chosen a demolition contractor yet? I'll send you a PM about ours. Built the C£arend0n Cambridge: Moved in. Great to find some neighbours on here. We are building in Como and we are owner building after ditching Wincrest. Good luck with your build. A very frustrating process but so rewarding when you overcome each obstacle. Loretta Re: Who's building in the Sutherland Shire 13Jul 06, 2009 6:51 pm Hi Loretta I am amaized at the amount of people who are building in the Shire. We did look at the owner builder deal at one stage but were lucky to find a house that would suite our needs with Masterton. How far into the build are you?
