Can't wait to see the external painting finished. Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - Possible Handover. 143Sep 30, 2009 3:28 pm So - we got a possible handover date today..........6 November. Yeah, #2 is due about then.........time to think about the contingincies I think. If it happens - it'll be 3 days over 16 weeks from site start. Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - Possible Handover. 144Sep 30, 2009 5:53 pm So - still don't have a shot after the final coat. But the wife took these after the first. The windows are classic cream, the same colour as the fascia.....they just have some black pvc tape on them at the mo. Oh, and it might be worth adding that the driveway will most likely be a "Black stone in normal concrete" exposed aggregate - to "compliment" the roof. Would be very interested in your honest opinions. As I've said previously, I'm not a huge fan - the wife is though. Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - Possible Handover. 146Sep 30, 2009 8:30 pm hi lc, i also really like it - this is sort of the way i'm heading aswell, but with beige royal render and surfmist for the gutter, fascia and garage door - is you garage door classic cream aswell? 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - Possible Handover. 147Sep 30, 2009 11:55 pm I agree with your wife, its really nice. I love it actually. It will look even better once you've got some greenery with landscaping. Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - Possible Handover. 149Oct 01, 2009 7:59 am ......hmm - must be just me then. Thanks for the comments all, always good to get some honest opinions. The wife will be stoked that I was serverely outnumbered Jess09 you garage door classic cream aswell? Sure is Jess. Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - Possible Handover. 150Oct 01, 2009 10:48 am Indeed you have been outnumbered....I'll just add in my thumbs up too. I think it looks really nice, the colours compliment each other well. Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - hmmmmm 155Oct 12, 2009 9:31 am Massive go slow now. No where near as happy as we were at the start. The progress in the 3 weeks since the tiler finished the wet areas hasn't been great (timeline is below). Mind you, the "no work" days since then have only numbered 7. I guess the thing that's compounding it are the issues we are starting to find - the most obvious of which are with the render job - issues that should have been picked up before (or while) it was painted. It's at its worse on the piers at the front & every (I mean every) tradie that comes to the house (be it a Coral Tradie or one we have quoting on some after handover stuff) comment on it. One even suggested that they must have changed their renderer - as he's generally been impressed with the ones he has seen. Ah well, PCI is going to be a corker. Be interesting to see the SS & CM's dot off that's done before ours! Sparkies fit off looks good, I'll try and whack some pics up soon. 14/07 - Site Meeting, Cut & Fill. 15/07 - Retaining Walls Started. 20/07 - Retaining Walls Complete. 25/07 - Screw Piers in. 28/07 - Under slab done. 31/07 - Form work done. 03/08 - Slab done. 04/08 - Dirt dropped around slab. 05/08 - Wall Frame Started. 11/08 - Roof Trusses Started. 15/08 - External Doors in. 17/08 - Bath in. 18/08 - Wall & Roof Frame Finished, Gutters & Fascias on. 19/08 - Roof tiles started. 21/08 - Sisalation Done (House wrapped), Plumbers rough in Started. 24/08 - Roof Tiles finished, Plumbers rough in Finshed. 25/08 - Electrical Rough in Done. 26/08 - A/C Rough in Done, Windows/Sliding Doors in. 27/08 - Bricks Started. 29/08 - Data & AV Rough in Done. 30/08 - Accoustic Insulation Done. 01/09 - Gyprock/Plastering Started. 02/09 - Bricks Finished. 04/09 - Render Started, Chippy started back (doors, skirts & architraves) 07/09 - Gyprock/Plastering Finished. 09/09 - Render Finished. 10/09 - Water Proofing Done (Wet Areas). 11/09 - Kitchen In. 14/09 - Wet Area Tiling Started, Chippy Finished. 16/09 - Garage Door On. 17/09 - Wet Area Tiling Finished. 23/09 - Painting Started. 29/09 - Painting Finished. 30/09 - Shower Screens, Mirrors & Robe Doors In. 06/10 - Plumber's Fit Off Started 07/10 - Sparky Fit Off Started. 08/10 - Chippy Fit Off done (door handles, robe rails etc.), Sparky Fit Off Finished. Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - hmmmmm 156Oct 12, 2009 9:42 am hey LC that's sh*t can you post some pics of the bad render so i know what to look for when they do mine? 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - hmmmmm 158Oct 12, 2009 12:11 pm lostcause I might PM you when I get some up Jess - I'm not trying to be cagey about the issue, I'm just very interested to see what the SS & CM think is acceptable. no probs LC - that sounds fair to me 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - hmmmmm 159Oct 13, 2009 10:48 am So - actually got a call from the SS yesterday........highly unusual. Tiler is starting today, apparently the Tiles will also be delivered today.....so I'm not sure how much he'll get done. Unfortunately, after that, he's not back until "Later in the Week" (I guess Friday), then we have to have a clean before the carpet goes in on the 21st.......should be interesting, there's a proverbial cr@p load of tiling to do. A/C fit off happened yesterday along with the roof insulation (front door and some windows were left wide open - awesome). Apparently they're short on plumbers & his fit off won't be complete for a bit. SS says he'll do a "Dot Off" after the carpet is laid, then him & the CM, then him & us. Bub is due 4 weeks today........pretty sure bubs will win this race. Re: Bugger me, another Coral Hamilton 278 - hmmmmm 160Oct 13, 2009 11:07 am lostcause Bub is due 4 weeks today........pretty sure bubs will win this race. Wow 4 weeks to go! I think you're right, it sounds like you've slowed down heaps and I suppose it doesn't help when you have a baby to worry about too. So, are you more excited about your bub or your new house? It would be a very intense time for you guys. At least you've already been through it once and know what to expect. I think it's easier the second time around. So excited for you all We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing.
