Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 28, 2009 7:07 pm anyone has any info on costs for a suspended concrete slab for a new home? Due to council regulations I have to build on stumps - against my original plans of having a concrete slab on ground. I asked few builders and they're all trying to talk me off this idea saying that a tiled timber floor would be the same (and cheaper) The concrete slab is definitively a requirement for my house and I would like the opinion of people that had this done as I have the impression that the builders I talked to are not that impressed with my request and I am afraid of being overcharged... Re: Suspended concrete slab 2Jun 28, 2009 8:32 pm floortech have a method... I don't know if this will last ( the link that is)... http://www.floortech.net.au/product.asp I have no connection with them, so don't know their abilities. Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Fair Trading can issue orders to rectify and complete but once the matter goes to NCAT these orders are automatically vacated. You will have to terminate contract and sue… 21 29631 How are you doing Ben? Extremely interested in hearing what you are doing or plan to do! 12 15088 The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists. 1 5118 |
