My girlfriend and i are house sitting at the moment, its not a very well off house, just an old house made with jarah and nice old featerd door knobs. They have some birds and dogs we look after, but as i sit her in the studdy looking out the window with the birds singing. I think to my self. I am going to miss the old times with little houses and big backyards.. Guys and girls some first photos of my house! Re: WA build Bletchley Park. 44Oct 09, 2009 8:44 pm Congratulations, you are on your way. Instead of looking at pics and plans, you are looking at concrete now. Now you know what the foot print of your home looks like. I would love to have a look at your place. As for me, I just completed my prestart a couple of days ago. I think my slab will only go down in Jan2010. What brick, tile and paving combination did you choose. I went for the Bristile Aniseed, York bricks and Grey landscape pavers. Hopefully it will look Ok together. Re: WA build Bletchley Park. 55Nov 04, 2009 10:06 am Thanks !! I didn’t realize the back of the house is so shaded by the other house in the arvo. Just to let everyone know we added heaps of power throughout the house in prestart, I added a 15amp power in the garage because ill be using tools. and one out the back patio and also TV coax i added around the place like master bed and activity room. Its not worth the hassle of saving a few pennies latter down the track. that’s my opinion anyway. I did the TV points because everything is Digital now so i didn’t want to mess around. Yeah so my house is getting slapped together quickly. the brickwork is a bit poor, but all up it is still good.. Regards Jeremy Building in southern river Perth.. Re: WA build Bletchley Park. 56Nov 04, 2009 10:12 am Wow!! Looking great j-pedrick!! I would have loved to have added more power and tv points throughout the place, but couldn't afford it at the time. Boo. Oh well, after handover it'll get done at some point!! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Re: WA build Bletchley Park. 57Nov 17, 2009 9:41 am The roof frame has now gone up and its looking good!! Last night we had a friend (builder) come and do some measuring/levelling and inspecting of the house, and he picked some stuff up that we need to mention to the builders. Like the main beam running across the roof (6.3meter steel beam) is only sitting on some wood blocks and needs to be solid brick. There is some cracked bricks in the carport that need to be replaced. And just some other little stuff we need to watch.. If anyone is building a house still I suggest you find a builder (friend of a friend) to do an inspection for you. Regards Jeremy Building in southern river Perth.. Re: WA build Bletchley Park. 58Dec 09, 2009 1:40 pm So it was a real shock to the system to walk into the house with the roof on, we actually can see and feel it happening. sorry im a bit behind on the photos.
