Haven't had anything done since my last post, so my dreams of a finished slab this week are washed away. Oh well, lets hope next week brings us a slab Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Rain, rain go away... 144Mar 02, 2010 3:33 pm Looking good. It looks like a fantastic location. I hope you get your slab soon. I also love the colour in your photos. Are you using a std point & shoot or something with a few more buttons? Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Rain, rain go away... 145Mar 02, 2010 8:29 pm Gambarol Looking good. It looks like a fantastic location. I hope you get your slab soon. I also love the colour in your photos. Are you using a std point & shoot or something with a few more buttons? Thanks Gambarol My husband is the one that takes the photos and I agree they look good He uses something 'with a few more buttons' it's a Canon 5D, but I guess the end product depends on the type of lens he using too. It's too complicated for me, so I leave him to his little hobby Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Rain, rain go away... 146Mar 04, 2010 6:04 am Great pics Renee! I have a camera 'with lots of buttons' too & it takes a great photo - especially when I want to enlarge one to hang on the wall I really hope the rain clears long enough for your slab to go down. After all the other waiting that goes on, this would be the worst I think. Fingers crossed but today doesnt look much better here on the coast Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Rain, rain go away.. 147Mar 04, 2010 9:18 am walker79 Thanks everyone Well we are getting slightly annoyed with all the lovely rain we're having. Haven't had anything done since my last post, so my dreams of a finished slab this week are washed away. Oh well, lets hope next week brings us a slab Yep, I'm slightly annoyed as well. I mean, I know it's good to have all this rain but give it a rest already. At least when its raining you know there's nothing you can do about it....it's worse when you have perfect days and nothing happens Oh well...maybe next week. We're going to the Home Show this weekend to look at carpet, tiles etc. Hopefully they'll have some good deals on Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Slab Day 2moro 05/03 148Mar 04, 2010 9:03 pm Thanks everyone!! Exciting news, it's SLAB DAY tomorrow!!! We had an overcast ugly day today but NO rain thankfully and it was enough for the workman to get out there and do the slab form work. They were there all day, till late finishing it because the cement truck is booked for tomorrow morning (weather permitting). And there I was upset that we wouldn't get a slab this week. What a difference a couple of days makes! So we have our fingers crossed, the foreacst says 'showers increasing to rain late in the day' Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-No slab today :( 149Mar 05, 2010 1:01 pm Ok, so no slab today due to some overnight and early morning rain. So it will hopefully be the start of next week, when the rain is meant to ease up Here's some pics of the form work for the slab that I took yesterday Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-SLAB today 08/03-Pics 152Mar 08, 2010 9:22 pm HOORAY for a SLAB!!!!
Finally the rain has held off today and they're were able to pour our slab. We're so happy, things can only get better from here on. Let's hope for no more rain hold ups. Here's some pics of the wonderful specimen. I can't wait till I can walk, run, skip and jump on it!! Did you write anything on it? We wanted to but DH told us not too...just before we left one of the kids pointed out that DH had already put HIS own initials into it ...big kid! Where are the photos of you running and skipping on it? Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Frame started 155Mar 12, 2010 8:06 pm Thanks Pebbles & 2pais So the frame has been started, we're still having a few showers here and there so it's not going as quickly as I'd like but they've started so that's the main thing. Can't wait till they finish and we get a roof! 18/02/10-Site cut 22/02/10-Screw piers 24/02/10-Underground plumbing, electrical & meter box 25/02-03/03-Rained for a week 04/03/10-Form work for slab started & finished 08/03/10-Slab poured 11/03/10-Frame started Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Frame started 156Mar 12, 2010 8:08 pm Pebbles Did you write anything on it? Where are the photos of you running and skipping on it? Nope we didn't write anything in it. I had really wanted to but DH wasn't too keen so we didn't And I definitely did run, skip and jump on the slab but there is no photographic evidence and I had to wait until it was dry first Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Frame started 157Mar 17, 2010 6:11 pm Hi Renee Even tho it is a pain, the rain is probably a good thing for the slab - helps it cure better apparently. Hopefully it stops soon tho so you can get your frame going! Cheers Kim Re: Our Coral 'Hamilton 278'-Frame finished 18/03-Pics 158Mar 18, 2010 2:18 pm So the frame and roof trusses are pretty much finished They've done the gutters and fascias today and I'm so excited to be able to see my roof next!! Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14899 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 5001 2 31697 |
