Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 25, 2009 2:44 pm I have just signed up to PD for a litllley Chelsea III. I have to choose a facades for it. The brochures don't seem to help me very much. It almost looks like the porticos are wider in some and I cannot work out if you just apply the design to the size of portico stated in my floor plans or I do actually get the wider portico. If so, this will change my preference, because Id love a bit more 'front' to my house. My choices so far are Ormond, Aspen and Coolum. Ormond at the top of the list, just over coolum which seems to have a very high portico, above the roof line? I like the other more modern designs, but this house is to be a future rental/IP so a plainer facades will be better for rental/future on selling. Does anyone have some pics of their PD facades? Opinions? Re: PD access Facades??? 2Jun 25, 2009 3:09 pm Congrats on joining the many of us homeoners building with PD! I'm pretty sure depending on which facade you choose will depend what size your portico would be. We also struggled to pic one from the pictures.. but have chosen Ormond. Although there are no bricks on just yet.. here's and idea of what it looks like so far.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We think the portico is quite roomy. If you can wait another week.. i could probably show you with the bricks finished. Building with PD - Regent 23 Cascades on Clyde Estate HomeOne Building Thread - PCI Completed - 28th August. You get what is pictured, aside of course for lighting, and the brick treatments (render, stone etc.), that's extra. Of the three I like the Ormond as well! Re: PD access Facades??? 4Jun 25, 2009 3:17 pm Welcome aboard to the access clan lol The thing we didn't like about those pictures is that they all depict render and render is not included but they don't show you any photos without render!!! We just went with the standard rivera because it was second on our list with the favourite costing around $3000 extra or something that we didn't really want to spend lol Out of the three you have narrowed it down to I think I like the aspen the most =) For reference, this is the Austlii reference. My take on this is, that they would be breaking the law denying access to a homeowner in Victoria, or their agent from having… 1 9070 The only thing to add to these comments is that where possible it's always good to try and work with people than just say "no" because you can.
