Re: any builder for sloping blocks? 48Jul 16, 2009 5:52 pm dracosan Hi Marcus. I'm excited to know abt your builder. How big is your house ? is it with brick or weatherboard? did you upgrade a lot? is it split level home as well? and how much is persqm cost? Sorry for lots of questions.. thanks Hi Dracosan, sorry for delay, just got new computer up and running!! House is about 24 sq, but as I said you need to call them and discuss your requirements, we're building using a cladding by James Hardie but they'll use anything. Also as I said, I don't know our per square price remembering it's a custom design. All I know is we're getting what we want for a price we can afford. Call them, ask for Mark Brown, he's their sales guy but also does some design as he came up with our concept. Let him know you heard about our house and he'll probably be able to show you the artists impression of our house as they used it in an ad campaign locally. Cheers, Marcus Re: any builder for sloping blocks? 49Jul 17, 2009 9:27 pm Has anyone got quote from Latitude? We've been told to 1 week, after 1 week no reply, called him back, he told us 1 or 2 days more, but no reply again. now we cant even get him on the phone, leave voice mail, call the office, but nothing.. feel a bit upset now... Re: any builder for sloping blocks? 50Jul 21, 2009 9:15 pm Have you still not heard from latitude? Mind you, my husband had to ring to see what was happening. Hopefully we will get some sort of quote this afternoon. Will let you know how it goes. There were things I wasn't happy with about our plans and was impressed that they also picked up these problem areas without any prompting. Hoping something will come of this - very tired of how long the whole process is taking. Re: any builder for sloping blocks? 52Jul 22, 2009 1:00 pm We havent heard from them yet. My husband has asked the receptionist to be called back twice. Called the owner the person we met first time so many times and leave vm as well but no return call as well.. I think basic courtesy is to at least return back our call that they're not read yet with the quote but none so far.. a bit frustating to me as I dont know how long we should wait. Elizabeth., you have your house plan or they make you one? Re: any builder for sloping blocks? 53Jul 27, 2009 3:01 pm Elizabeth1, how's your quote with latitude? In the end, they told us they cant build ours due to capacity. what a waste of our time waiting for nothing. We approached buzzbee, so far they have been great, even want to do some sketch for us without putting any money. Some builder that may be considered. Re: any builder for sloping blocks? 54Jul 31, 2009 12:26 pm Dracosan, L37 came in with a quote within our budget, with all the inclusions we wanted, so we are pleased. If they were working to capacity they could have let you know earlier - rather than wasting your time. However, so far our experience with them has been good. Interesting how different people's experiences can be. Hope things work out well for you with Buzz bee Homes. Let me know how you go. Re: any builder for sloping blocks? 55Jul 31, 2009 1:21 pm Hi dracosan, I have heard Buzzbee are pretty good. A guy I work with is building with them in Healesville. He just got his estimated start date. The only thing he had found wrong is they take a little long to process things, like they told him they can't start his house until October even though all his permits and everything is done and ready to go. And we now feel like we are almost there... we signed the contract last night whoo hoo.
