Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 24, 2009 8:32 pm Hi all, I'd like to know how you go about fixing popped nails in plaster board. I have this in several places including ceiling and walls where the nail head is protruding above the surface of the wall. I'm not sure what causes this but I'd say the plasterboard has pulled the nail out and the nail is no longer holding the board flat? Anyway I'd like to know how to fix this myself. Is it a case of hammering the nail back in or do you need to add an extra nail above and below to make sure that the board is held securely? My past experience is that these popped nails allways come back. My builder is supposed to fix these as per the 3 months maintenance (its now month 9) but they are such muppets I'm done dealing with them and would like nothing better than to tell them not to bother and do it myself. They have already wasted my time making me wait around for tradesmen that never show up. Has anyone had these repairs done and can tell me how they went about it? Thanks. Re: Popped nails in plaster - how to fix. 2Jun 24, 2009 9:16 pm Had this on one wall during our build. SS had someone come in a screw it in instead of re nailing. Looking good now. 4 14258 Hi, Have used the Dulux 1 step, oil base on my walls(white set), out of can it’s already a more thinner product than a final coat paint Also in water base Water or… 3 5018 yeah i couldnt picture it issue either, but i could clearly picture what they were doing wrong haha 2 5289 |
