How long did it take from when your file was sent to handover till you got the keys?

Browse Forums Building A New House Re: How Long to Go? 2Jun 23, 2009 2:46 pm hi thistle, it took us just under 2 weeks. we had first handover, had some minor things to be sorted, then second handover visit was within a week. once we signed off on that we got the keys as soon as the bank cheque was ready. for us it was about a week (we had a week's delay because the bank cheque wasnt ready for us) Re: How Long to Go? 3Jun 23, 2009 3:04 pm Thanks for that Mattydals. Re: How Long to Go? 4Jun 23, 2009 3:49 pm i know the feeling! we have our carpet booked for next wednesday, as well as rear fencing and driveway. we're currently building front retaining wall. i will have some pics of that too as it looks magnificent. we are using The Stone Man. highly recommended also have to do another two retainers (one at the back and one on the boundary of the property! lots of slope, but we love the views we have!
