Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 18, 2009 2:23 pm Hi there, I'm after some advice regarding the installation of soakwells. We are 8 weeks away from moving in and as most would know we are unable to install our soakwells until after we get the keys. All along i have been preparing to install the soakwells myself however i'm starting to think it might be easier and less stressful to pay someone to do it. The cheapest quote i've had is approx $1500 for 9 soakwells (1 per downpipe) which seems reasonable to me. There are a few things that are worrying me about installing them myself. Firstly, having to install them 1.5m away from the slab and fenceline. This doesn't seem possible with our house as we only have approx 2m between our house and fenceline on boths sides. To make things worse we have 3 downpipes on each side of the house. Can anyone offer any advice on how best to (eg where to put the soakwells) install soakwells if i were to end up doing it myself? Saved us alot of stress thats for sure ... good luck! I need to replace the worn mohair seal on my sliding window, but I can't get access to the end to slide the old one out & push the new one in. I could probably rip the old… 0 5175 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors. But I'm not sure… 3 6111 |
