I just called SRO and they confirmed that the grant has been approved yayyyy

We were initally trying to sign contracts prior to 30 June but now I'm really glad we waited. And I hate to rub it in but we're building in a regional area so we get an extra 4.5k ontop of the 32k...woohoo!!!

We were pushing for the 30th of June also, I'm glad that our builder was a bit slow getting the contracts to us!

I'll do some googling, regarding the stamp duty in Vic for a FHO.
So is it a discount on the stamp duty normally paid on the land? I bought land 8 months ago..!
Plug your figures in here and it will give you the $$$ amount. (Victorian's only)

does anyone know if the 26 weeks for Vic is being extended to 52 weeks? i've heard rumors.....
Where have you heard rumours?

I'll chase this up, pm me if need be.
