Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 1321Nov 03, 2011 9:12 am HI everyone, NNice to hear from all of you . Just like you I am also excited about my new home in Bluestone. We starting looking for land in Wyndham vale in July 2010 and in OCT I paid the 5% for a block of land in stage 22 and i was told the land release will be Jan-Feb 2011. After months of delay , The land was finally settled. We have choosen Porter davies for the construction. We have gone with Drysdale 30 , with few extra upgrades. The land was titles in August for Stage 22 in bluestone green. So far The customer coordinator in Porter davies is very helpful The house is on the Brick stage right now. Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 1322Nov 03, 2011 12:19 pm Hi guys, welcome here , Quick question , has anyone done Ethernet cabling to the house or Home theatre wiring set up to the house. Is it a good idea to get Ethernet cabling during construction or should be done later. I am currently Building my place in Bluestone 22 and look like i forgot to mention during my Electricity Appointment. Any suggestion welcome Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 1323Nov 10, 2011 6:52 pm roomate Hi guys, welcome here , Quick question , has anyone done Ethernet cabling to the house or Home theatre wiring set up to the house. Is it a good idea to get Ethernet cabling during construction or should be done later. I am currently Building my place in Bluestone 22 and look like i forgot to mention during my Electricity Appointment. Any suggestion welcome I did it after. Cat5e (not Cat6...its over-rated IMO) will easily fit between the noggin and plaster. As long as you have some yellow tongue, it will be a piece of cake. For what its worth, after we moved in, I ran to the theater room and lounge room each of: 2 Cat5e, 6xRG6 (the thick coax cable...1 for TV antenna, 5 for Foxtel component), 1xHDMI. 9 cables all up in a pretty thick 'umbilical cable'. A word of advice though. If you plan on doing it after you move in, make sure you use a hole-saw in the noggins in the locations where you want the cable runs BEFORE the plaster goes up. You don't need to worry about holes in the top of the frame because you can easily get to them when you're in the ceiling. Don't get shafted by one of those $110 per run cabling contractors. A 305m roll of Cat5e only costs $99..... Cheers Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 1325Nov 25, 2011 2:00 pm Got to vent a little. Driving around my stages Im seeing more and more people that just dont give a flying duck what the state of their houses and gardens are. Now this is for stage 19- 22 only in Bluestone Wyndham vale. These stages should be able to get the NBN once the work will be finished. As per bluestone and telstra , It was delayed because NBN were having issues with the council in regards to the position of the exchange box. The local council want to charge NBN rent for the small space where the exchange box will be. But Now as per Telstra this issue has been sorted out and 19-22 should be live soon. Work commitments permitting Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 1335Jun 01, 2012 7:21 pm Spoke to the land agent the other day - apparently Wyndham Vale South Train station has been approved - corner of Black Forest Rd and "Middle Ring Road" - I calculated the other day that we will be 290m from a train station.... see ya later peace and quiet!!! So that would make it pretty much next to the supermarkets? No the other end of the estate - supermarkets are on Greens Rd. At the moment it is all farm land that has been sold off to Delfin-Lendlease who will be putting in a new estate with 4000 house lots, shops schools etc... and now the train station. On the masterplan of bluestone it shows Stage 17A - this was going to be houses - this has now been fenced off and is going to be a park - this will be diagonally opposite the train station. We will stay put for now - but considering moving in 4-5 years depending on how it turns out! I've lived near werribee train station before so I guess I wouldn't be bothered by noise/ traffic as much.. Hopefully crime/ vandalism doesn't go up though.. This will all be impacted by the local councils planning scheme. Familiarise yourself… 6 5840 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27289 I have posted this before: We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing.
