We've been in there 3mnths now, very handy we will be able to keep an eye on the whole build process. Very little traffic, and lovely and quiet. Lots of people doing xmas lights at the moment too which is nice. That must be exciting building with 2 friends as neighbours, did u all buy your blocks together ? We also bought last december so 12mnths is alongggggg time ! When we bought ours blocks 1401 - 1403 were already gone so we got the 1404 ! Were happy with the size of it, hopefully should be a good size backyard. Ours is ( at the moment anyway ) the JG KING ARMADALE 230 - really hope we get go ahead with it as its our dream home. I just saw the plan of your house on burbank site it is very nice, i love the alfresco and living areas, nice and big. No probs about the construction update, looks like your slab will def be down soon ! Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 97Dec 17, 2009 1:15 pm Hi Nicole, We bought our land separately. The day I have put my deposit in I have asked my mates to check out the area. They loved it. They didn’t have any plans to build house at that moment. They made a decision within a day. Guess what three of them have gone with Camellia 2900 and one of them is going with Sailsboury. How is rent like up there ? My land size is 617 Sqm. How about urs? I think we got good deal with camellia. Our basic price was 164000 for 29.8sqm house. I am hoping I will get 7m of backyard. This is big enough for me to keep me busy on weekends. Do u guys work nearby? I don’t know how I am going to mange the travelling part. I have been living close to city all this time. I guess I will be used to this as time goes by. Nafiz Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 98Dec 17, 2009 1:48 pm Hi Nafiz We also bought seperately, put deposit on it last december. Our's is 654m2, my partner wanted a big yard. Its 35.5m long and 19.5 wide at the widest point. The block prices are so good for the size u get, u cant buy cheaper land anywhere. The camellia is def a nice house, how did u find the colour selection process ? I found it a bit daunting trying to pick all the colours but were happy with our final picks. We also lived close to the city, Brunswick. We both work in Airport West so we use the Western Ring Road each day. It has taken us a while to get used to traffic. We started off using Princes Fwy to get to work, that was a nightmare. Each day we leave home at 7:10am and the Princes was a mess. Traffic backs up right to the Point Cook bend and is a standstill all the way to the Westgate Bridge. If u work in the city i strongly recommend avoiding that road if u leave at that time of day. We cut through Tarneit then onto the ring road and get to work @7:50am each day, so it is a fair drive but traffic wise its ALOT better than Princes. We only used to travel 12mins each day to work, so at first it was a big change but now we are so used to it its actually enjoyable. Do u know the shops are open in our estate now ? Its a great little centre Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 99Dec 18, 2009 4:04 pm Woolworths now open. It is very quiet and lots of things are discounted because they don't sell. I got really good flowers the other day for $2.50 reduced from $15. Don't like the little s bend to get into the carpark, I think this will be really bad when it gets busier. Having an Aldi there will keep Woolies prices down. Best thing is we can do all our shopping in one spot. Re: First Home Buyer - Wyndham Vale VIC ! 100Dec 19, 2009 8:31 am Hi, i agree with the prices we've been finding alot of bargains too. Wish id seen those flowers though ! The S Bend is pretty bad, stupid design. Im trying out the hairdresser xmas eve, cant wait ! Not much in this responce. My suggestion is, what are you looking to build and why. This will all be impacted by the local councils planning scheme.
