Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 16, 2009 7:35 pm Hi All, Just wondering if you can give me your opinion - as of Friday it will be 4 weeks since our site start. However, all that has happened so far is that the site has been cut - and thats it. We did have delays due to the bad weather last week. The builders told me we were getting a slab last week but so far this week noone has been on site last week or so far this week even though the weather has been better....does it seem like its taking a long time or am I being too impatient? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated Re: Too impatient? 2Jun 16, 2009 8:36 pm It sucks when you can't see anything happening. Keep in contact with the company and site supervisor, in a nice way, to keep up to date on the schedual. They always seem to be able to get the job done within the allowed time, and unless they actually run past the contract completion date I don't think there is anything that can be done. As far as I know. Try to stay calm. It is a stressful process even when things are going well. As long as you get through it all with your health and a new home you're ok. My friend had a heart attack and died while building his house. Keep your eyes on the prize, and take deep breaths. 10 years from now you will be happily settled in your new home and this will be a memory. Good luck Re: Too impatient? 3Jun 17, 2009 12:15 am It does seem to be taking a while...
