Yes we are slowly getting there with selections. Have chosen beige-y colours for the bathrooms in a rough sort of earthy tiles. We also have a brown plush carpet for the activity room and then creme/white carpet for the bedrooms. We will be having tile in the living area which is another rough sort of beigy style. We will be mixing this with the cool colours for painting the olives/beige/greens etc.. as we put the tiles on the paint chart and the matched best with those colours. Prestart is 29th July so not long to go now. Will post up some pics when get it all sorted. Re: Bulding with HBC at Byford "The Glades" Perth WA 46Jul 18, 2009 7:44 pm Congratulations on your choices! Such different ones from me, but I like them! I must admit though, I do cringe at white carpet. Not because I don't like it, but because I have dogs who like vomiting on white carpet My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Bulding with HBC at Byford "The Glades" Perth WA 47Jul 18, 2009 7:56 pm Yeah white carpet can be a pain. But we liked it. The house we are in now is all greys so we felt like a change from that. Re: Bulding with HBC at Byford "The Glades" Perth WA 48Jul 18, 2009 8:02 pm There is NO carpet in my new house apart from the minor bedrooms and the theatre room, all of which will be closed off to the dogs! I'll be getting a few rugs that don't show marks! I have light carpet now in my rental and I'm sick of it! I had white carpet in a previous rental and it was intolerable with the animals! But it would be lovely to have if it was more practical for my situation. But I love my dogs more than carpet - so there goes that idea! My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Bulding with HBC at Byford "The Glades" Perth WA 49Jul 18, 2009 8:29 pm Oh yeah I can imagine with animals it definitely makes things tougher. But yes animals first the rest later lol Re: Bulding with HBC at Byford "The Glades" Perth WA 50Jul 18, 2009 9:26 pm Love your colour choices, based on my ******* computer screen, so I bet they look really good in reall life!!!!! Ha yeah computer screens and cameras change the colours and never quite do them justice. Re: Bulding with HBC at Byford "The Glades" Perth WA 52Jul 21, 2009 5:33 pm Found out that my street number is the same number as this house.. hope thats a good omen. We ended up going with european ceramics for all the bathroom tiles and crosbys for the living area. So completly different tiles than I first stated in this thread. Settlement for land is due 27th July so next monday I think. Looking forward to that Sales rep has gone missing in action now ..which I guess was to be expected. But need to make sure he put the right airconditoner down. The prelim says one kind (the right kind) and the contract another (the wrong kind) I emailed him twice about differing things but heard nothing back. But will be making sure we get the right one the reverse cycle since of course they charge a motza for it. I asked and they said no Yes we are.. he tried to talk us out of it saying cheaper after. Which we do know.. but with all the costs we have for after we wanted it in the mortgage. He did also say it might be a problem with the keystart valuation etc... but wasn't. I wonder why they told you no? Re: Bulding with HBC at Byford "The Glades" Perth WA 55Jul 21, 2009 6:52 pm Wow strange, I'm not even with keystart Oh well, I guess I will hopefully save something, I hope Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro! You will definitely save a heap doing it after. I just want to make sure we get the right one.. will be clarifying it at prestart and with our next person whomever that may be. Re: Bulding with HBC at Byford "The Glades" Perth WA 57Jul 21, 2009 9:14 pm Yeah I got told my prestart selections are in the mail and the plans.
