I'm feeling a fair bit apprehensive now just cos I want to go to plan properly with no screw ups, I'm a stickler for detail. Was hoping for the slab to have been down by now, but meh, we've waited this long, whats a little longer. Building with CELEBRATION HOMES @ THE GLADES in BYFORD W.A. If your council says they don't know, then call Landgate, because they surely will (as long as it has already been worked out). My tac-home-ter: Been in 8 months! Re: Celebration @ The Glades - SITEWORKS PICS! 65Jul 22, 2009 10:55 pm Our house number was on our land title and other settlement paperwork. God it feels good not signing 50 tree's worth of papers anymore haha. Slab should be soon, we've had some bullsh!t weather this week, really not happy but no ones fault. Best case scenario is tomorrow as it should be fine, but depends on the concreter, otherwise we may be another 3 or so weeks out as I doubt we going to get any decent lenths of fine days. Our siteworks, footings and slab were done earlier in July during shocking weather too You'll have to go for a drive-by to your block anyway!!!!!!! When I as first looking at display homes and hunting for a block the sales people I spoke to where really helpful by offering advice on which areas of perth had clay and higher site costs. A few out right told me that places with clay would be at least 15-20k extra for site works. I am guessing if my builder under quoted I'd have had a bill by now as my roof is on. I can't really remember but I think the allowance was $2000? *Built with Gemmill Homes in WA* Slab - 1st June 2009 Plate Height - 17th June 2009 Lock Up - 18th August 2009 PCI - 5th October 2009 Hand Over - 15th Oct 2009 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20844 Re: Celebration @ The Glades - SITEWORKS PICS! 71Jul 24, 2009 7:50 am Hmm i'd be inclined to think that a little allowance like that ($2000) was maybe more for electrical or just as a buffer for prestart. I had always intended and had budgeted for siteworks from the get go, just the way I am in terms of being as thorough and prepared as humanly possible. I tried doing a tonne of research into it for our area, rang the council, rang other builders, pretty much rang everyone to get an idea, and yeah, I budgeted 15k and it came in at 14.8k, that ** me off but it's within the acceptable average price range for the area and soil class type. hopefully I can get some money back cos they charging me for a concrete pump which I hope they wont need, maybe just some bog boards. Re: Celebration @ The Glades - SITEWORKS PICS! 74Jul 25, 2009 8:58 am YAY!!... Got services and cut done ready for footings. Sorry about the poor light, but it was very late dusk (1800) and taken with my iphone so it's not the greatest quality. Pictures have been modified to give them a higher light and colour saturation effect, but the dirt colours are accurate if you viewed it during the day.
