Did they charge you much more for these extra cupboards? Re: Sooty's house - Commodore Homes, Perth WA 64Jun 30, 2009 3:27 pm dragon Interesting. Did they charge you much more for these extra cupboards? Oh yes, of course. We got charged extra for the extra cupboards and the shelf space on the rear of the bench. Or the front, depending on how you look at it. Built with Commodore Homes - The Fusion completed April 2009 (with modifications) Yes I have moved! I guess you bench is also going to be pretty wide? The shelves I'll probably use for things like placemats, and the cupboards on those sides can be used for occasional dinner and glass ware, especially for when guests come over for dinner or drinks and you need extra glasses. You can easily grab them out that end. Also should be sufficient storage for some drinkies. Built with Commodore Homes - The Fusion completed April 2009 (with modifications) Yes I have moved! When I first signed up I told the salesguy that I wanted heaps of cupboards and he said no worries there will be heaps. When I got my plans there were 5! Take away 1 for dishwasher then 4 Who has 4 cupboards??? grrrrrr anyway it is going to cost me around $2500 for the extra cupboards and rearranging the kitchen so I can get a bigger fridge to fit etc.... They want $$$ for everything and then have the cheek to tell me to tell all my friends to build wuth them I don't think so lol Anyway I settle soon...2nd July so then I wont have to deal with him anymore Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro! I had the actual increased size of the bench drawn in with the plans and that was included in the contract price. It's about 3m by just over 1m. But the extra cupboards and shelves were done a pre start I think. I wanted drawers but that was really pricey and we had already spent a bomb at prestart! I have blown probably an extra $10,000 there too it is such an expensive business but at least in the end you get a half decent house ...I hope lol Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro! I am sure from when my prestart happens all the bad stuff will be over with. Gee I hope my meter box is somewhere good I don't want to deal with any more problems,,I'm over it too Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro! In fact, she was kinda like 'yeah whatever you want'. I spent about $12000 at prestart. Which is why I could not have drawers in the kitchen. That would have blown it to about $15000. Also could not get the glass entry door I wanted either. Built with Commodore Homes - The Fusion completed April 2009 (with modifications) Yes I have moved! But I don't know what I'm going to do without my central heating!!! Luckily my friend works for the company which supplies the majority of a/c retailers with their products, so she has been able to get everything I will need at wholesale price. Which is great because it means we can get a reverse cycle system for the same price as what an evap system would be. I had my garage sale yesterday! We got rid of most of the large items except a display cabinet and a pair of lounges. So we'll probably advertise them in the Quokka, and the small items we'll donate to charity. There was one guy who wanted to buy the lounges but he wanted us to give him 'free delivery'. WTF? Do we look like Harvey Norman?
