Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Dream Home 61May 17, 2007 8:45 pm Did you look at hydronic heating?
I think it may be pricey to install but economic to run. Anyway, our front door was delivered with the architravces and skirting etc... But at least we had a packer door that was in its place to stop the tourists from coming in and looking around. Am I rude for thinking that? It kind of bothers me to think that someone has been in my house when I didn't invite them. Re: Our Dream Home 62May 17, 2007 10:26 pm ![]() Did you look at hydronic heating? Hi Hennig, No we didnt look into hydronic heating coz we heard its a bit pricey so we went with what was the norm... We had to meet the supervisor this morning coz there was a minor problem with our bathtub in the ensuite...we are getting a japanese soaker bath which is quite deep - 540mm..the standard ones are from 410mm-500mm...the problem is our bath is next to the window and it will sit higher than the window architrave so now we have to shift the bath away from the window and create a step down...I guess candles can make their home there... ![]() The front door goes in tomorrow....I know what you mean...without a door the house is wide open for all to see...even with the front door in, there is the garage entrance ![]() Re: Our Dream Home 63May 18, 2007 12:50 am I think that swivelnecks and stickybeaks are just a part of building new homes.
Sure its not ideal, but as long as they look and don't touch I gues its OK! Matt Yeh..was that you I saw in my walk in robe yesterday Vanderlay??? ![]() ![]() Re: Our Dream Home 66May 21, 2007 4:30 pm Ok...more progress on the house..went to have a peek yesterday..they put in the front door AND the bath tub!!!!! You can see its small but deep coz its a Japanese soaker tub....we ordered 2 from http://www.japanesebath.com.au/ you can see there is a lot of space between the tub and the wall on the left..we will be putting a niched wall maybe or just some shelving there for towels...

Sounds like a rare breed of dog (ha joke). I actually went and looked them up after I made that comment. Could only find the basin sets though (reece website). Ensuite size looks big. Looks like you could swing a cat in there and not hit any of the walls. Not that I'd do that. Re: Our Dream Home 73May 23, 2007 11:27 am Quote: Your house looks great lady lice.
