Any-one know of a steel panel product( preferably colorbond) that looks like cedar timber. Looking to specify a product on some gables. House is located on coast and real timber look deteriates very quickly due to atmosphere Thanks notts Re: Colorbond Timer-look alike panels 2May 07, 2007 10:01 pm Hi notts,
I know that the panels are available, as it's often used for "timber look" garage doors. If you can't find the panels anywhere, perhaps a call to a garage door manufacturer will reveal the supplier. Best of luck! I was aware that some Garage Doors suppliers can do this but I was looking for a Supplier for specifing some feature gables on the house. BTW the house is being built in Perth. Terry - looking forward to any further info you might have. Regards notts Re: Colorbond Timer-look alike panels 6May 10, 2007 6:48 am I was in a bit of a hurry when I wrote my first post notts,We are actually looking for the same thing as yourself (timber look in the dutch gables)I seen lots of it in Perth when working there last year but my nephew is a bit slack to source it for me.I think that we might go with the cedar look garage door and use "real"cedar in the gables ,but will have to experiment .I'd be interested if you end up getting on to a supplier of the timber look stuff notts.Regards Terry.
