Re: Our Wisdom Impression 33 MkII - Got the keys. Tiling started 696Jan 20, 2010 7:54 pm Have you checked your contract? Contract 11.3(c) states that The owner, the owner's agents and officers of the lending body may only have access to the building works at reasonable times and after giving reasonable prior notice for the purpose of inspecting the progress of the building works. "Reasonable Time" and "Reasonable Notice" are not defined in the section 1.1. Their working or business hours also are not defined in the contract either. Contract also doesnt state that you have to follow their company policy. Who can take 2-3 hours off from their work to go and inspect their house every week? Not many... They are saying that I have to go site during their business hours, however my reasonable (and presume your reasonable time is also saturdays) time is saturdays. They are refusing to accept this. That's why I submitted a complaint to DFT. Re: Our Wisdom Impression 33 MkII - Got the keys. Tiling started 697Jan 21, 2010 6:13 am By the way delight - were you using an independent inspector? From your post it seems like it was just you guys having a look. I agree that it can be a pain looking through the windows! I arrange to go into work 30 min late but stay later in the evening so I can get out at 7.30am when tradies arrive. After 4 years - we're in! Re: Our Wisdom Impression 33 MkII - Got the keys. Tiling started 698Jan 21, 2010 7:06 pm Independent inspector is very expensive. We are doing own inspection. I'm working between 7.30am-5.30pm. From site to my work takes 1 hour. I also offer them to meet on site at 6am or 7 am, but they dont accept this either. Re: Our Wisdom Impression 33 MkII - Got the keys. Tiling sta 699Mar 06, 2010 4:19 pm Hi Principessa, We are just starting the process of building. I was looking at your blogspot (lilypadintheponds.blogspot.com/ ) in Jan and I love your colour selections. I see your blogspot is now invitation only and I was wondering if you could let me know your colour selections which were in your blog - or permission to see your blog again. We are building in Sydney South. Kind Regards, Michelle Re: Our Wisdom Impression 33 MkII - Got the keys. Tiling sta 700Mar 06, 2010 10:30 pm Beautiful tiles!, Were they factory seal or nano finish types? How much per sqm? PM if like. Thanks. principessa Thanks so much for all of your kind comments everyone. We're pretty damn happy with our house Now that we have the keys, the tiling started on Monday. We opted to do the tiling ourselves after handover and saved ourselves over $4000. We have selected a pearl white, 600 x 600 polished porcelain tile and they're looking pretty damn sexy!!
