You guys are just steaming ahead full bore, the prgress on your home of late is nothing short of amazing!!....no wonder your dizzy!! ....it's alot to take in and absorb in such a short time Yup, handover must surely be by the end of the month.....we have stacks to go compared to you guys and we've got handover in omg l've just counted it, in 23 days Better start packing if you haven't already!!! Thanks Thorney! yep, we are dizzy as it's amazing how much progress can happen in such a short time! it's fantastic! No, haven't started packing or seriously thinking about it, I think we are still in shock! Can't really do all that much packing as there's really no space in this little granny flat to put the boxes! Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23 - http://erwisdomprosperity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23- Progress photofest 5/09/09 543Sep 08, 2009 10:23 pm princessfee Okay, you just gave me heart palpitations at the thought of the labels being turned around . They look so much better when they are all neat in a line at the front of the pantry. I am trying to break my OCDness cos it was getting really bad and I was starting to have panic attacks if I found a spoon in the sink. I used to hang our clothes in colours, light to dark of that colour and short sleeve to long. But now I am learning to just hang them up... and although, I still colour coordinate mine into colours, I am getting there. I have also learnt not to fix anything that Mark does around the house that is done differently to me, and I only clean the cupboards with the pots and pans in it about once a month now and not once a week. So there you have it, another thing you can add to the "i think she's a bit weird" pile . "a bit"?????? Mark, I feel for you boy! your wife is mad! but we love her that way. If we thought Fee1 was bad Fee2 just made her sound perfectly normal! I had never heard of anyone hanging the washing in colours and long and short sleeve order, I am so going to have a chuckle now every time I hang my clothes out thinking of you, I might even end up doing it myself, how pretty would that look! Now that I have looked at your pics again, ours is going to be a little darker. We have also picked White for the doors, skirting and architraves and we have changed our skirting from the standard to colonial (even though Anita had said that noone has EVER changed their skirting) . Oh... you paid the extra to have different colour paint and trims! I've heard of Kid skin but haven't seen it, is it a Taubmans colour? changed the skirting??? I am sure you are one of the only ones, what's the colonial like, what does it look like? got any pics? I hope you guys didn't get charged heaps for this change though... Re: Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23- Progress photofest 5/09/09 547Sep 09, 2009 6:05 am Yep, we paid extra to have a second colour, but it was cheaper than us redoing it ourselves, and Mark wanted a colour and not just white. Yeah it's a Taubmans colour but it's really hard to find anything about it, so it mustn't be a common colour. I think it'll be nice though, I hope so. Nope, it wasn't that much but I can't remember that far back . Colonial is the skirting that you normally find in houses. I have taken a photo of what we have in our garage. I tried to put the paint swatch about it but the colour is all wrong, the sun hasn't come up yet so it's not working and I am not camera literate enough to know what to do . Not long at all, very exciting, we won't know what to do with ourselves with so much room! Oh, I am glad that our pics helped you decide about your kitchen, we did 33mm (double the thickness of kitchen cupboard doors) on the side panels and 20mm on the benchtop, I thought I'll mention it just in case you need details. I can't wait to see your kitchen! Loretta No probs, we've learned so much from this forum too that it's only fair that we share any info we have! Glad our pics helped you decide too. Our cupboards are poly but if you are having laminex remind the kitchen people that they'll need to laminate both sides for the overhanging bits on the barback (I am sure they would have thought of this themselves though, but just in case, you never know!) You'll have your kitchen before you know it! Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23 - http://erwisdomprosperity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23- External painting 13/09/09 555Sep 13, 2009 9:41 pm Sorry, have been madly busy with work and the damn 2nd retaining wall (we want to have it finished before we move in) so haven't posted much. Bits and pieces have been happening: Ensuite full size mirror installed (sorry, forgot to take a pic of this), shower heads arrived and half installed, and the main thing, the external painting on underway! They've done the gloss coat of the front door in Ironstone, it looks great! So glad we ended up changing the colour as originally the front door was going to be the same colour as the cladding, I think it would have been too plain! The cladding has also been painted, the colour is Hayley's comet but it looks a bit white to me... we should maybe have gone for the colour match surfmist like the garage door... The house is really looking like a real house now, can't believe we should be in really soon, can't wait! One teasing pic here and a couple more on the blog... Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23 - http://erwisdomprosperity.blogspot.com/ Re: Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23- External painting 13/09/09 556Sep 14, 2009 6:38 am Looking great Jochicho, I love your front door and yeah I agree, it would've looked too wishy washy if it was white. I read somewhere ages ago that your front door should be a strong bold colour, so we went for a colour similar to monument (colorbond). I know that it will be heaps darker than anything else on the house, but we think that it will look mad . Great to see how well my adopted house is coming along Re: Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23- External painting 13/09/09 557Sep 14, 2009 8:03 am looking fantabulous, jochico! almost there now! I agree, that was exactly what I said about the light colour for the front door... wishy/washy, specially next to the translucent glass, the glass would just melt into the colour of the door and it would not be noticeable... Very happy with the Ironstone colour! Monument... I had to check the colour as I didn't know which one it was, it's a dark grey, isn't it? I think it will look fantastic! a nice contrast! yep, your adopted house is growing and maturing for sure! Thanks, we are really happy with how is coming along too. cielly looking fantabulous, jochico! almost there now! Thanks Cielly! Yeah, can't wait!
