Congrats on your lovely house!
thanks sanderling! you haven't got long to go now! must be excited to get those keys
Are you happy with how your tank turned out?
I might need to pinch their contact once my house is done.
Cant wait for the update.
we are extremely happy with how our tank turned out and i would definitely recommend him to all of you
just a note on that, i noticed on your pictures where the tank is set to be, there are no internal holes on one side of your "tank hole". our aquarium guy told us that we'd need to have a hole on one side of the tank-hole so that he can the pipes through there for the sump and the return. also, i wasn't sure if you had a hole above your tank-hole... couldn't see it on the pics... make sure you have one, otherwise you won't be able to feed your fish we wouldn't want that now are you leaving the holes above and below your tank open? or are you putting cabinet doors on them? just curious
(anyways, i'll get Nav to correct me if i've mistakenly informed you)
no worries, dp i'll do a fish tank post soon!
Congrats on a beautiful home
Hope you can help me a little.
We are looking to build the 38MkII also but unsure how much extra we should budget for polished porcelain to the mains.
We have 8K put aside extra so far for flooring.... just wondering how close we are to our goal.
Thank you
welcome, Puffy!! thanks for taking the painstaking time of going through our thread i am amazed hehe... hopefully our experience will somehow help you in yours.
as the other forumers have mentioned, it costs EXTRA to get almost anything done at Di Lorenzo we just bit the bullet and went with them rather than going 3rd party as the costs, for us, were roughly the same.
For our polished porcelain tiles, we had to pay the difference between "Wisdom's standard tile allowance" and the tile cost (per sqm), then paid extra because it's a large tile (600mmx600mm), then paid extra laying charges for getting polished porcelain tiles, then paid extra for getting the 1.5mm grout join! and that's just the main flooring we had lots more extras on bathroom tiling... obviously, you may not go the same path as we did due to personal preference, but the information is there for the taking
i'm not as brave as sc1309 to go back and have a look at what we were charged i hated seeing that price tag
i hope my info has helped! and good luck on your build! where are you planning to build?
a 3mm grout join for the wet area floors costs extra >,< and apparently, that's as thin a grout join you can do in wet areas.
