Any other ideas that is cheap please? yeah it really depends on what wood you use.. any timber can be cheap but for a better look using Jarrah or Batu maybe would be a little more expensive.. I know you always find out the extra expenses afterwards, ours instead enclosed on the back only the sides as we have pets and would like them to walk in and out whenever through the door into the dining.. Great idea with your pets walking through though. I can't do that as I need storage and it's not the safest suburb to build in. Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro! Hi Sooty I think it would cost a couple of thousand aty least to add another door. I have already gone over $20,000 in extras and this was totally unexpected. I might look for a used one that looks ok. Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro! If so, the normal redicote doors from Bunnings are less than one hundred, and some places charge around $300 to put a door in. What is shown on the plan? Nothing, I havent got the final plans but it looks open. The sales guy told us at the time they used wood to close off the garage but I think he forgot to add it to the pricing, so now his story is that he told us we had to do it. We know of a couple of cases where timber wasn't allowed to be used near the boundary, fire risk to neighbouring properties or something. In one case they moved the location of the structure further from the fence but in the other they had simply infilled something with lattice not realising it wasn't allowed and they had to remove it. On the other hand I've also seen timber pergolas right on the boundary, so I guess it varies from council to council. You might want to check with your council to see if there are any rules like that in your area. I wonder if something like hardiplank would be an option? Or Colorbond mini orb? Yes well it is in the hills and theres always high fire risks there so good point! I will phone the council and see what they have to say. Thanks for the help and advice ..will look into the colorbond, that sounds like a great option Building with Homebuyers Centre El Questro!
