Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 07, 2009 11:21 pm I'm currently planning power point positions, amongst other things. With a budget that has been exceeded, I'm wondering how are GPOs in garages(being single brick) wired up. Is there some way of running the cabling through the brick, or do they just use conduit down from the ceiling to the top of the power point? If it's just conduit then it's a pretty simple process to do it after handover, especially considering there is one power point in the centre of the ceiling already. Re: Quick question about GPOs in garage. 3Jun 08, 2009 8:34 am During construction: Run cable before gyprock goes on. When gyprock goes on, cut a hole, connect, and secure to wall. After construction is also possible but much more difficult of course. People generally only use conduit if it's the only option.
