Below is what I posted the other night, but please scroll down and read my next post for much more information on the deal we are able to get as home builders, taking advantage of the govt rebate that ends 30th June. I misunderstood a few things when my father first told me about it (due to the fact that I was trying to get my two lively dogs into the car after a family dinner!), and didn't realise this deal he'd organised with Renewablelogic was open to anyone in the Perth metro area
Hi all Perth people! I am really interested in photovoltaic panels for my new house and thought some of you guys would be too. I have been talking to a few people who, like myself, have been told that because our houses aren't built yet, we are probably not eligible for the government rebate for PVs.
My father is currently implementing a photovoltaic project in a hills suburb for established houses (creating a PV 'community'), but after talking to him about my situation (not being sure if I qualify as my house isn't built yet and being told all manner of different things by different people) my dad will be talking to the company (that he is doing the project with) to see what kind of a deal we (house-builders) may be able to get, and more info on who can qualify and how (etc).
At this stage, if your roof will be on within 9 months (so the system can be installed) and you're interested in photovoltaic panels for solar electricity (taking advantage of the government rebate), please PM me and I can give you my father's details. He can explain it better than I can and give you more info.
Neither of us are trying to sell anything or involved with this business in any way, except that this company has been chosen to supply the PV systems for the members of the project my dad is running. My dad is very interested in sustainability and is looking into this for me because I am building and just a little confused as to what to do! I don't know much about PVs and don't even know what to ask, so he's doing the groundwork for me. I asked him if I could share it with people on homeone and he says he is more than happy to talk to others in the same boat as me, so we can all have better access to more sustainable power.
PM me if you're interested!
