We went for our tender on Friday and our builder advised that packing out the cornices is not an option. They said that they could leave them off completely but were charging us in the thousands(!!) for them to return and install the cornices after tiling was done. As for the skirtings, we decided to leave them on as our builder told us it would be our responsibility to measure, cut, paint and install the skirtings on our own after handover, which quite frankly I don't have the patience in doing Building the Trinity - Waiting to sign contracts I already have the doors and architraves installed as pictured.
