I am pretty sure that Mark is exhausted after his efforts but it was all worth the energy. I can now step into the backyard barefoot... YEW!!! Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...yard pics from 25/09/201 862Sep 26, 2010 7:47 am Looking fantastic! How many m3 of concrete did it take? Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...yard pics from 25/09/201 863Sep 26, 2010 9:22 am I ordered 7.5, that worked out to be about .2 extra. But! Because the bobcat driver was lazy and didn't level it out properly, I ended up needing an extra 1m3. Got stung for it too, they charged me $180 a meter, but the last one came in a load by itself, that cost me an extra $380! So all up, its was 8.5m. Total cost was about $2800, plus $300 for the bobcat. I was quoted $3700 by a concreter, and I still had to level it out, form it up and put the expansion joints around the outside, so that would have cost about $4300 or so all up! Saved a bit, the finish isn't perfect. but it doesn't need to be, its only going to get covered anyway. Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...yard pics from 25/09/201 864Sep 26, 2010 2:56 pm Well done!!! I bet you enjoyed the beer at the end. So whats next? Does that count? Next? Go to the snow again, doing a day trip on Saturday, then down to Floriade for Fee's birthday on Sunday. After that, who knows, probably finish painting the fence, get in some more fill and finally get the grass down! Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...yard pics from 25/09/201 866Sep 26, 2010 5:46 pm It's a wonder you had the energy to wash the car after yesterdays great effort! Well I think you deserve a break after all your hard work. Sounds like a nice birthday pressie for Fee. . .we went to the Floriade a couple of years ago & it was great. We are hoping to get the backyard turf down next weekend Loretta Built The Jenmark with Cavalier Homes Macarthur. http://camdenacres.blogspot.com/ Thread - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17870 We are in - front landscaping begins Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...yard pics from 25/09/201 867Sep 26, 2010 8:28 pm I even managed to paint the rest of the back fence, bake a cake AND cook roast lamb for dinner! But when I stop, I crash, I'll probably be sick in a few weeks, thats my recovery time! It's funny, I usually work pretty hard. I went to the snow in August with my brother and my best mate, I was in bed every night by 730! They couldn't understand why, when I was on holidays all I wanted to do was sleep as soon as we got home! Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...yard pics from 25/09/201 868Sep 27, 2010 11:04 am WOW you did all that as well. . .you really are SUPERMAN Fee is one very lucky lady!! I guess I have a little bit of an excuse atm for resting. I am so happy with the concrete out the back, although the rain hasn't led us to use it as yet but now daylight savings is finally here, I am sure we'll get the opportunity soon enough . We won't be doing too much in the next little bit - unless we win the lotto. But it's nice to search for things I would LIKE to get. Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...yard pics from 25/09/201 870Oct 06, 2010 8:40 pm You certainly have an excuse for resting Fee. . . enjoy it while you can It's a shame it rained on the first day of daylight saving but it looks like you might be able to enjoy your concrete area this weekend. . .if the weather forecast is right. We haven't been on this thread for a while either but it's amazing how much a baby takes away from everything, even when she isn't born yet . Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...wardrobe installation 877Nov 15, 2010 8:34 pm Good job on the wardrobe Mark & to Fee for making it all pretty with baby things. That bear looks almost identical to the one I had for my first DS. . .I still have it but after 25 years it's looking a bit worse for wear! It's actually a bear I got given when I was at school but he looks soo cuddly I had to get him out. I'm not sure if it'll last 25 years after peanut gets her hands on it . We are getting excited now, I think. I know that sounds awful but I think I am just enjoying each day now cos I have only just stopped getting morning sickness a few weeks ago. Plus I know, I am going to miss having my little stable table when she is out - LOL!!! I might have to get bedside tables then so I don't notice too much. Re: Our Prosperity in Spring Farm...wardrobe installation 879Nov 17, 2010 9:30 pm Oh Fee you poor thing having morning sickness for the length of your pregnancy good to hear you are getting a break from it now.
