Re: Here comes Jolie's 22sq Ashton- We've been scraped! 26Jun 12, 2009 3:52 pm Hi Jolie, Fantastic news about your site scrape. Your bank problems sound awfully similar, sounds like you have had a similar rough time like Thorney and I, ist's very hard to deal with isn't it? It's taken us 5 months to finally get all our finances sorted out, which was such a long time. I am looking forward to following your build and seeing many photos. I am always so impatient to get to the house on the weekend in the daylight to see all the progress and take pics.. makes the week feel incredible slow! TGIF!! With winter, the days are so short that you have to wait ( a long long wait) for the weekend to catch a glimpse of the action. But at least this way, there's more to take in at once, as compared to going there everyday.. Building the 22sq Ashton Re: Here comes Jolie's 22sq Ashton- We've been scraped! 29Jun 12, 2009 9:50 pm Congrats Jolie!!! Yep, these winter days make it hard to check out the progress. I have turned into an early morning stalker - get there just before the workers!!! Look forward to your pics. JL Re: Here comes Jolie's 22sq Ashton- We've been scraped! 32Jun 12, 2009 11:06 pm jolie Jochicho, did they start work today? Hope so... HouseofJL, good idea about the morning stalking Hi Jolie, thanks for asking but they "sort of" did start... not the benching we had been promised, just a bit of dirt (fill) delivered... I think the builder missjudged the fill we needed and instead of bringing it in over the week they clicked today! we were a bit upset as hubby had changed his schedule (he travels all the time) and we both took half a day off to see the excavation/benching but it didn't happen... oh well, not much we can do I guess, apparently it will happen on Monday but hubby will be away all week Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23 - http://erwisdomprosperity.blogspot.com/ Re: Here comes Jolie's 22sq Ashton- We've been scraped! 33Jun 13, 2009 4:33 pm Congratulations on your start Jochicho! Just came back from sticky-beaking: Here is what the block looks like today - it looks so different as the land slopes towards the back by just over 2 metres and the fact that its now flat is such progress for us!! http://www.imagebam.com/image/0674cf38849626 http://www.imagebam.com/image/32144838849625 Our road and park. http://www.imagebam.com/image/87840b38850008 Building the 22sq Ashton Re: Here comes Jolie's 22sq Ashton- We've been scraped!(pics) 34Jun 13, 2009 5:00 pm Re: Here comes Jolie's 22sq Ashton- We've been scraped!(pics) 35Jun 13, 2009 5:25 pm Oooh nice block! It is a nice spot, pity with the sloping block, we had to keep the house size down otherwise retaining walls would be a killer. We have managed to steer clear from the back boundary by a generous margin and thus eliminate the need for walls (except a small one on a side). Anyway, 22sq + a large add on patio should be enough for DH, myself and 2 kids. If it gets too crowded, we just knock it down and rebuild a huge mansion!!
