Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 27, 2009 12:17 am Hi all, I've noticed a thread with brick colour comparison, but can only find colour selections for rendered facades by going to individual threads. If you have a rendered house, or even part render, could you please post a photo with the name of the colour and brand of paint. Hopefully it will help reinforce (or maybe create a question) over the colour we have currently selected. Thanks in advance to all who respond. We've selected Dulux Self Destruct for our main render colour but for some reason i'm still hesitating with it so i'd love to see a photo if someone has used it Re: Facade Render Colour - Please post a photo with colour name 3May 27, 2009 7:46 am Mines officially Self Destruct by Dulux because my first choice was knocked back by the developer, but I'm preparing a submission to get my first choice through. So here's a pic. Army Issue by Dulux. http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u353/joles_photo/2009-02-26_11-24-21_26022009592.jpg I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. The builders render the top floor while the scaffolding is up. I think we are a while away before the render is fully complete for the whole house. There will also be another colour introduced when they do the ground floor, that will be Taubmans Beaver Creek. We have gone for a 3 render colour scheme. Here is a sample of the colours we are using that I painted on our wall. And below that is a sample of the metallic tile we will be using on our feature wall. Colour manufactured by Solver, render is Unitex acrylic in a velvet finish. It looks like a warm grey, ever-so-slightly beige tinted so I find that it suits dark greys (like my roof tiles) but it also complements the warm tones of my bricks. A very attractive and versatile colour. Re: Facade Render Colour - Please post a photo with colour n 17Mar 03, 2010 1:47 pm Vundafel I agree with your description of Lundy Grey. Our house is now finished with the external rendering. We have used a dark purple and dark grey colour as the feature colours, which we believe compliment it well. Our roof is Dune. Our Lundy Grey was tinted 200%, so a bit darker than normal. It's all such a big decision choosing the render colours, I am glad you are happy with your selection ... your home is looking really good.
